Carson is TWO!!

Okay so i know it’s been forever since i have blogged about anything really.. but Carson turned two last week so of course I had to document it!

But seriously, how in the world do i already have a 2 year old on my hands?! This past year has flown by and I can’t believe we just celebrated his 2nd birthday! Carson has been 2 for exactly a week now and to be honest its been a pretty rough week. Carson got a nasty cold and is still fighting it. Thankfully, I think he is on the mend but, oh man, is he super needy when he is sick! We have been quarantined to the house and have watched “pooh’s great adventure” probably a 100 times by now. The humidifier and Tylenol has been our friend the past few days and this mamma is ready for a date night. But needless to say, I am enjoying all the extra cuddles and trying to soak it all up!

We had a really low key party for Carson’s birthday and I wouldn’t have it any other way. We are so lucky to have so much family around us, so that when we do have a get together it is practically a big party! Carson was spoiled, as always, by all of his grandparents, aunts, and uncles. So I am pretty sure we are gonna need to rent a storage unit after Christmas for all of his toys! Since Carson had a low-key party, we decided to take him to Zoo lights, as a present from us and he loved it.

Even though his party was pretty small, we still decided to go with a construction theme, since his favorite thing right now is building stuff and trucks. I made him a “dirt cake” and stuck some gummy worms and little bulldozers on his cake. He loved it and those little trucks are still his favorite thing to play with! Dollar store for the win!

Carson is looking more and more like a toddler everyday and although I’m sad we are leaving the baby stage, I love watching him grow and learn new stuff everyday. Not gonna lie though, I am pretty nervous for “the terrible twos” and secretly hoping he somehow skips it altogether!

My mom took these photos of him a couple months ago, but i thought they were to cute not to share! He looks so grown up!!
