High five for Friday

It’s Friday! Hallelujah! The week actually went by pretty fast, maybe because Monday was a holiday? Anyways, we have been battling a little cold, teething, and shots this week. So we are ready for some much needed rest and relaxation. We don’t have much planned for this weekend. Which is usually just the way I like it. Even though this week was kinda crappy, dealing with sickness and such, there are still a few things that I am super grateful for.

Lately, Jordan and I have been on a HOT coffee kick. We usually drink Iced coffees, but for some reason we have had coffee every morning and even some nights this week. Maybe its the cooler weather or the fact that fall is right around the corner? Or it could be because I picked up this coffee creamer at the store the other day and I am so glad I did. It is amazingly delicious. Jordan and I are just slightly addicted.

I have been reading the She reads Truth App for probably over a year now and I am currently going through the study “This is the Gospel”. It is so good, it has so much truth in it and I am really enjoying going through it! It talks about how there is only one true gospel and how this world has so many false gospels being preached. The Holy Bible is the one and only true Gospel. Everything we do, think and say should be based on that one book. Just because a pastor or a church is well known or “popular” doesn’t mean that what they are preaching is true. Our church is actually going through a similar topic that this one touches on, so it is neat to go through both at the same time.

This makes my heart so happy just writing this, but my brother has finally moved back here to AZ to go to dental hygiene school. So while he is attending school, he got a job working with ME. I seriously still cant believe this is real life. It has been so nice working side by side with my brother these past couple weeks. It is making up for all that time we lost while he was gone in South Dakota. Working with my brother has made all the difference and makes going to work just that much more enjoyable. I actually look forward to work now.

I am loving this recipe from Damn Delicious. I have already made it twice in the past 2 weeks. It is so amazingly good. It also makes the most perfect leftovers!

We just took some family pictures last week and I am so excited that some of them turned out. It is pretty hard to get Carson to sit still these days, he is always looking around and always on the go. So I was surprised we actually got a few photos of him looking and smiling for the camera. I will being sharing all of our new family pics here soon.

On another note, today is 911. September 11th, 2001, was a tragic day and the events that occurred will be at the forefront of my mind today, as we remember the lives that were lost. Those families that lost their loved ones 14 years ago will be in my prayers today. May we never forget.
